Noarlunga Railway Station, Electronic Ticket Validation

Project Scope:Construction of a new fare evasion gate system at Noarlunga Central Railway Station. The project scope includes; security fencing which closed some previously existing access points, new improved lighting and CCTV upgrades to improve the security camera coverage, concrete works and the installation of the principal supplied ticket validation gates on both the lower and upper concourse along with resurfacing of the footpath from Beach Rd to the station. 

Value added options: Camco was able to offer design input relating to conduit installation
Problem Solving: The validation gates on the upper concourse conduits needed to be installed directly above the rail corridor, Camco installed cabling in a floor chase to avoid the need to core through the concrete slab which would have had an impact on the rail infrastructure below.

 

Salisbury Railway Station, Electronic Ticket Gates 

Client: Department of Planning, Transport & Infastructure
Construction Period: 12 Weeks
Value: $650,000

Project Scope:This contract was for the construction, supply and installation of infrastructure to facilitate the installation of ticket validation gates at Salisbury Station on the Gawler Line. The works included; supply and installation of new motorised sliding and swing auxiliary access gates, supply and installation of new fencing and removal of redundant fencing, supply of new CCTV cameras, lighting, electrical services, voice annunciation system, security and comms systems, integration of new equipment into existing operation and control systems; and construction of new footings and pavement for the installation of the ticket validation gates. 

Value added options: Camco was able to assist with design to integrate the pavement and gate installation to suit the existing levels.
Problem Solving: The project needed to be delivered while the platform remained open, Camco was able to delineate the construction works with minimal disruption to commuters.
